Dear Parents,

We consider it a great privilege to partner with you and your church in teaching your child to know and share the gospel. Super Summer is a teaching ministry hidden in a summer camp. Our hope is that your child will return home from our camp equipped to better share the gospel in their sphere of influence. We encourage you to be the primary educator in your child’s education of the gospel. To that end, we welcome you to join us by praying and/or by volunteering as we equip your child to know and share the gospel. Super Summer is a unique experience for students that can only be fully understood in person. We would love to have you serve as a volunteer with us. Come see what makes Super Summer super.

Glossary of Super Summer Terms

New to Super Summer? Below are some explanations of Super Summer terminology.

  • Executive Staff - School Staff and Support Staff
  • Support Staff - Support Staff serves "behind the scenes" in different roles to help make Super Summer run smoothly.
  • School Staff - School Staff is responsible for leading a school of students in teaching, worship and coordination of family groups. Students spend 12 hours in teaching sessions focused on the Gospel and different developmentally appropriate topics that guide students to discuss in their family groups and make life changing decisions.
  • Dean - The main leader/teacher of the school.
  • Assistant Dean - The Assistant Dean teaches in the school and coordinates recreation for the school.
  • Team Leader Coordinator - The Team Leader Coordinator coordinates Team Leaders through administrative and counseling efforts.
  • School Music/Worship Leader - The School Music/Worship Leader is the worship leader for the school.
  • Team Leader (TL) - Team Leaders are the adults who directly impact the students' lives. Team Leaders lead Family Group discussion time, check attendance throughout the day, and lead Dorm Prayer Groups every night. The Team Leaders are held accountable by the Team Leader Coordinator and other staff in their school.
  • Mom or Dad - Students tend to call the Team Leaders assigned to their family group their "parents" for the week.
  • Texas Olympics and Wild & Crazy - Students participate in a time of recreation Tuesday through Thursday. Texas Olympic games are modifications of popular team sports. Wild & Crazy games are relay style games with a unique twist that incorporate participation from everyone at Super Summer.
  • Rainbow or Rainbow Worship Celebration - Evening worship gathering where all of the schools (colors) are together.
  • Spirit Flag and Sportsmanship Flag - Awards earned during recreation for Spirit and Sportsmanship.
  • Highlight Video - A video is played prior to every Rainbow Service as a way to highlight the day's activities across campus. Media Download Cards with videos from the entire week are available for sale at the Super Summer Shirt Shop.
  • Concession Wagon or Weenie Wagon - Students have the opportunity, during break times, to purchase snacks from concession wagons located outside their School Meeting Rooms.
  • E-grams - Notes of encouragement that students send to and receive from one another throughout the week.
